As a Christian and a creator it is my duty to live out a life of design in His name. Only by God am I able to make, create, design and perform art. God is the ultimate sustainer and creator. Through His love was humanity made. Not only do my passions, my career and my life depend on God, but they work through Him. God has given me a passion to create as an individual and as a single mind.
My passion is for design. I recreate and rework according to my own understanding and my own growth. I trust in my intuition and believe that all said artists are to fulfill their own boundaries; unbound by the depiction from others. God calls us to express ourselves through our own mediums. I want my designs to reflect who I am in my current state of mind, body and soul. My works should not tell a story in someone else's words, but should be the truth spoken from my own mouth.
Art and design are what I see as my life. I do not live by rules, yet there may be preferences; whether they are for or against what my practice is at the current state. I believe in a raw, unedited, personal form of creativity. Just as if letting go of my consciousness, leaves me with a form of subconscious. If one is to make, think, create, even live; everything is to be a reflection of ourselves which then leads into the light of the Lord. My personal guidelines consist of:
1. The process/creation/form of expression WILL grow and therefore change
2. God is my leader and my giver; He gifts me my inspiration and abilities
3. My work is to reflect whom I see myself to be presently in light of God
4. Be honest with myself and receive constructive criticism with understanding
In these, I believe I can form my life and my creative practice(s) into a uniform, symbiotic relationship. My life is what I make and what I make is my life; all under who I am in God.
